One editorial voice

The Plug Ledger is written and revised by one editorial desk so the site keeps a consistent way of describing shape, water and uncertainty. The desk works from the local register, official public references and original images. It does not claim to be a guide service, a tackle shop or a substitute for a local expert on a particular beach.

The useful measure of a page is whether a reader can make the next observation more clearly. That may mean choosing a plug family, checking a lip slot, reading a current seam from a safe position or finding the current official regulation source.

Corrections and regional distinctions are welcome at [email protected]. The desk keeps the article long enough to explain the decision and short enough to use beside the water.

Published work

The desk writes the selection index, the long-form technique notes and the reference pages linked from the home directory.
