Modifications for the Everlasting Eel:

In the image above, the left side image of the Everlasting Eel has had the front eye loop bent up. This will make the lure dive deeper to reach those deeper fish and dig in harder for those heavy surf or sea conditions. Also, a snap has been added to the running line leader, which allows the lure to swim more freely. This can be applied to all of our metal-lipped swimming lures.

Fishing the Everlasting Eel:

A slow retrieve allows the lure to swim in its serpentine-like fashion creating a vibration that fish sense with their lateral line. Its thru-wired joint creates a clacking sound that allows game fish to zone in on the bait. Like any metal-lipped lure, tuning the lure for the desired swimming action is critical. Bending the nose loop down making the Eel swim shallow or by bending the nose loop up to make the lure swim deep will allow you to put your offering directly within the strike zone. A fast paced retrieve creates an erratic action that often triggers explosive strikes. The key to using Everlasting Eel, is to vary your retrieve until you find the right one that is catching fish. The speed of your retrieve is irrelevant; the Everlasting Eel creates a rippling action regardless of your pacing.

Conditions to fish the Everlasting Eel:

Calm to light wave conditions with eel grass or other vegetation present are an ideal backdrop for fishing the Everlasting Eel. It's best used over structures where game fish lie in wait to ambush unsuspecting prey.
